Half-day Workshop for People of Color
with Melvin Escobar
In this half-day retreat for People of Color, participants will explore some basics of the ABC’s of Yoga and Self-Care (Action, Breath and Calm/Centering). Yoga can be a fully accessible way to develop kind awareness of the body and can serve as a foundation for our self-care on the physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual levels. Participants will be invited to consider how the practice of Yoga and meditation can cultivate deep relaxation and restoration during times of personal and social change. Participants will be offered practical tools to strengthen and/or create new self-care practices. No mats or special clothing required.
