Getting Involved: Volunteers Are the Heart of EBMC!

Volunteering for EBMC is fun and inspiring, and a great way to deepen your spiritual practice. We have a variety of volunteer positions, some of which can be done anywhere with Internet access, and some of which require being on site at the meditation center, either on a regular basis or for a specific, time-limited project. Our generous, talented volunteers are an important part of the heart of our community, and are all leaders in helping to make EBMC a vibrant and sustainable community resource. To volunteer, email or email the contact person for that position.

Already a Volunteer ?

If you have ever volunteered for EBMC, we invite you to join the Path of Service Sangha, to join with other volunteers for fun, appreciation, and community. Anyone who has ever volunteered for EBMC is considered to be part of our Path of Service Sangha. So, if you’ve helped to do setup or cleanup for any of our weekly groups, or any event requiring registration, you’re a member of this Sangha. If you’ve volunteered to clean the Center, update the website, do graphic design, or any of a hundred other volunteer tasks, you are a valued Path of Service Sangha member.

At the annual Path of Service Sangha brunch you’ll receive expressions of gratitude from EBMC staff, and have fun at a relaxing party with music, delicious potluck food, socializing with other volunteers, optional informal open mic (songs, poems, artwork), and special gifts of EBMC swag!

Wanting to Volunteer ?

EBMC is an “All-Dana” (Generosity and gifts economics-based) center. The generosity of Volunteer-donated time is the lifeblood of EBMC. Can you join us in this practice of Dana (Generous giving), by donating some of your time to help the center thrive and grow?
