Are you interested in serving on East Bay Meditati Are you interested in serving on East Bay Meditation Center's dynamic board of directors, also known as the EBMC Leadership Sangha or LSangha? EBMC is looking to recruit new volunteer board members (aka LSangha) for a 3-year term starting in 2023 (hopefully by July). Our sangha is at an exciting inflection point as we search for a new physical home and continue to expand our reach to communities outside of the Bay Area. We especially encourage folx with a background in fundraising, real estate, human resources, shared governance, and/or prior experience serving on a board or in nonprofit settings. It is also important that our board be representative of our sangha and community so we highly encourage members of our BIPOC, disabled, and LGBTQIA+ communities to consider volunteering. For more information or to inquire, please email our LSangha Chair Tania: tania at eastbaymeditation dot org

Hi, my name is Maryani and I am a Friend of EBMC. I give to EBMC monthly because EMBC has played a central role in my spiritual growth, especially being a member of the PoC Sangha over the past ten years. This was really important to me because I wasn't able to pay fees to access other centers, and I wanted to give back once I was able to. To me giving monthly is an act of care, when I give I feel deeply connected to the community of care that EBMC is cultivating. I wanted to make that a consistent practice by becoming a Friend of EBMC. I invite you to join me in supporting the work, the spiritual growth and social justice work that EBMC is so committed to. Thank you.

Hi I am Damali Robertson and I am a Friend of EBMC. I have been giving now on a monthly basis for a couple of years. It really makes me happy to give in this way to EMBC because EBMC has given so much to me. I have attended workshops and daylongs and have been part of sanghas and also part of the Practice in Transformative Action community. It means so much to me to have a mindfulness practice and to have a community that I can center in, that I can be part of in what feels the most tumultuous times. That is why I give to EBMC because I know that no matter what's going on in the world there is a community for me to come back to, there is a place for me to touch in, there is a practice that I learned through EBMC that supports me every single day. I invite you to give, become a Friend of EBMC and give monthly if you can. Thank you.
