Hi, my name is Allan, and I am a Friend of EBMC. I give to EBMC monthly because to me to give monthly is an act of care. When I give I feel deeply connected to the community of care that EBMC is cultivating. I wanted to make that a consistent practice by becoming a Friend of EBMC. EBMC’s agreements for multicultural interactions is what first drew my attention to EBMC and the commitment to create a meditation space open to all. I invite you to join me and become a Friend of EBMC today. Thank you.

Hi I am Shin Yi and I am a Friend of EBMC. I donate monthly because EBMC is a special place, and there is no other community space that’s quite like it. It’s been a spiritual home for me since 2009, and I benefited greatly from the teachings and sense of refuge that is offered there. I know that none of that would be possible without the collective efforts of so many who helped to make sure that EBMC continues to exist today. Please join me and consider becoming a Friend today so that EBMC can continue to thrive for many more years to come. Thank You.

Hi, my name is Ray, and I am a Friend of EBMC. I give monthly to East Bay Meditation Center because as a queer non-binary person, EBMC is a provider of a wonderful support system and spiritual presence in my life. I first started attending the Alphabet Sangha during the pandemic, I immediately felt love and acceptance, from this community that held and supported me during this really tough time, and frankly still does till this day. I wanted to give back to a community that has provided me with so much love and support, and also to an organization whose commitment to social justice, equity, diversity and inclusion is so needed in today’s world. I hope you will join me today. Thank you.

Hi, my name is Roberval Rivera, and I am a Friend of EBMC. I give monthly because it is important to me that places like this that are rooted in diversity, social justice, and inclusivity for all people to thrive. I first became aware of EBMC when I read the book Awakening Together, the spiritual practice of inclusivity and community by Larry Yang, in which he talk about the founding history of EBMC. I thought then, and I still think, how important it is that places like that exist. So I invite you to join me and become a Friend of EBMC today so we can continue to sustain this incredibly diverse place.

Hi, my name is Tyrah and I am a Friend of EBMC. I give to EBMC every month because I think it is so important to sustain a contemplative and meditative center that focuses on people of color and social justice. I was inspired to become a Friend of EBMC two years ago when I went to the PoC Sangha for the first time. It meant a lot to me to be able to gather with other people of color to learn, discuss, practice and process. I invite you to join me and become a Friend of EBMC today, to help ensure continued access to this unique and valuable space.
