Rooted and Resilient: An Online Retreat with Spring Washam to Support the East Bay Meditation Center
Friday, May 15 5PM – 7PM PST | Saturday, May 16 10AM – 5PM PST
How do we remain hopeful in the midst of so much fear and despair? With the shifts that are coming our way each day, what new world can we imagine, what future can be born out of our current circumstances? How can we deepen the roots of resilience in ourselves and our communities to meet these times?
Join beloved meditation teacher, author and visionary leader Spring Washam online as we explore how to meet the challenges of this current moment with an open heart, and find wisdom, strength and courage to face the unknown.
In this special weekend retreat we will learn how to apply the teachings of compassion to the moment-to-moment reality of the “new normal” of our everyday lives, while developing a fierceness that will help us move into the future that is unfolding in ways we could never have imagined only a couple of months ago.
Whether right now you need to focus on cultivating supportive practices for yourself, or develop skills to engage more broadly with what is unfolding in our world, the dharma teachings and mindfulness practices we will explore together can support you as we respond to this unprecedented time.
The program begins Friday, May 15 with a short program in the evening and includes a full day of offerings on Saturday, May 16, including dharma teachings on love, hope and resilience; periods of meditation and mindful movement; and small group discussions.
This retreat is open to all and is well-suited for people who are new to meditation practice as well as experienced practitioners.
Yoga and Movement offered by Elika Aird of Blissful Bodies and Master John Ellis of Five Realms Meditative Movement.
This offering is a fundraiser for the East Bay Meditation Center and we ask that you give as generously as you are able to support our programs, for the benefit of all.
Zoom links will be sent out to all registered guests 24 hours before the event. Please check your spam folder on that date, as Eventbrite messages may end up there!
