with Mushim and Nathan Thompson
Have you ever sat through an organizing meeting for hours, with your body hardly moving except to take notes on your computer? We’re working to build liberatory, embodied social movements, but how much are we moving ourselves? This daylong includes instruction in yoga-based, gentle body movements suitable for people of all abilities, meditation, reflective journaling, and creative, playful simulations of how we might incorporate mindful and embodied movement practices into meetings and protest rallies. Together, we’ll explore how to tap into the joy, wisdom and connection of body and breath!
