Based on who we are. . . what we’ve been through. . . how we survive and where we stand, we are on . . . sacred ground. We stand on the backs of our ancestors. -Ava DuVernay
How are our lives informed by the actions of our ancestors – our lineage ancestors, our art and activist ancestors, and our spiritual ancestors? What can we learn from their choices and experiences – and how do we integrate the multicultural lineages of warring peoples that we carry in our bodies? How can our experiences of intergenerational trauma provide a foundation for individual and community healing and the retrieval of ancestral wisdom? Join us for a half day of storytelling, dharma teachings, movement, and art in which we compassionately examine our diverse ancestral histories, celebrate our multicultural heritage/s and create a new liberation story. Please bring writing and/or art supplies with you – as well as an object that represents your innate connection to Spirit, the ancestors or your personal power.
Participants will receive a link to join us via Zoom with their EventBrite confirmation email.
