WELCOME TO MIDDAY SANGHA!
We come together weekly to engage in peer-led silent meditation and Dharma discussions. As a sangha, we foster a warm, supportive community, aiming to nurture mindfulness and compassion in our daily experiences.
Our community is a blend of various cultures dedicated to promoting social equity. We welcome individuals of all backgrounds – irrespective of race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, abilities, body size, or age.
WHEN
We meet every Wednesday from 12:00 to 1:30 PT You're welcome to stay for any time that works for you (it's ok to join late or leave early).
WHERE
In response to the evolving circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, our sangha is offering hybrid sessions monthly, scheduled for the first Wednesday of each month. Our primary objective is to cater to the diverse needs of our sangha members, ensuring that both those who prefer remote participation and those who find in-person meetings more connecting can join us. We will continually assess this arrangement and are eager to receive feedback from our members.
AGENDA
12:00 - Welcome
12:10 - 1 bell: First period begins. We invite you to practice stationary meditation - sitting, standing, or lying down.
12:30 - 2 bells: Second period. Continue still practice or movement.
12:50 - 3 bells: End Meditation and dedicate the merit of our practice together. 5 minute break.
12:55 - Facilitated Dharma Discussion (folks are welcome to eat while we chat)
01:30 - Complete
ACCESSIBILITY
EBMC is designed to be entirely accessible for individuals in wheelchairs, featuring two accessible bathrooms for your convenience. We provide chairs and cushions, you are welcome to bring any additional items to ensure your comfort. In consideration of those with environmental sensitivities, we kindly request that you refrain from wearing fragrances or scented products during your visit. DHARMA DISCUSSION
Facilitated “lunchtime” conversation with an engaging question about our practice and being the dharma in the world. We follow the multicultural communication guidelines.

At EBMC we rely on a system of financial sustainability we call Gift Economics that combines the ancient Buddhist practice of dana with a commitment to social justice and equity.
At EBMC, we never impose any fees for our events. Our teachings and the use of our space are always freely given, and we extend an invitation for you to contribute financially or offer your support through active participation in our community.
