SUMMARY:ONLINE: Conscientious Embodiment Movement Sequence
DESCRIPTION:Dharma in Motion with Paul Ciske  \n“Conscientious Embodiment Movement Sequence“ \n  \nThis movement sequence is designed to embody the principles of Conscientious Embodiment which is based on the revolutionary non-violent martial art of Aikido and Mindfulness particularly related to Dzogchen/Nature of Mind practices. The initial movements are derived from T’ai Chi Chih to bring greater awareness into the body. The movement sequence progresses to connect with the center of the body (i.e.\, Hara\, Tan Tien) and the space within the body. Next the attention is expanded by first connecting to the vertical\, heaven and earth connection\, and subsequently to the space around us that is continuous with the space within. It concludes with a centering practice that moves us toward a state of greater inclusivity for all that arises. This work was developed out of 30 plus years of studying Wendy Palmer’s Leadership Embodiment\, formally known as Conscious Embodiment. Variations of all movements are offered to make it accessible. The sequence is not about exact movement but rather it is about embodying the principles. \n  \nFor Zoom Info\, Please Contact: paul at paulciske dot com \nTo offer a financial gift to support Paul’s teachings\, please do so via PayPal or Venmo: paul@paulciske.com \n

SUMMARY:ONLINE: Pandemic Precepts: Buddhist Ethics during Covid-19
DESCRIPTION:An Online Class Series with Mushim Ikeda\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWednesdays April 28th\, May 5th\, 12th & 19th 2021 \n6:30 – 8:30PM PST (Time Zone Converter) \nASL Interpretation and Closed Captioning Provided \nPart of EBMC’s Core Buddhist Teachings – 5 month Curriculum \nOne year ago\, people in the United States were hoarding toilet paper and steaks. Today we’re dealing with volatile ethical issues such as to mask or not to mask? – “Cut in line” to vaccinate or not? Rooted in EBMC’s mindfulness-based\, diversity-equity-inclusion and social justice-centered mission\, this four-class series offers a path to reflect on current ethical discernment and action. Buddhist life\, for both laypersons and monastics\, is rooted in Five Precepts\, guidelines that are paths of deep contemplative investigation resulting in behaviors and actions aligned toward non-harm\, in the service of all life. The compassionate realization of our “interbeing\,” and the sometimes complex relationship of intent to impact are woven into this “Living Dharma” approach to the Precepts. \n \nRegistered participants will receive a link to join us via Zoom with their EventBrite confirmation email.
