All day meditation for People of Color communities

Dec 5th, Saturday, 9:30am to 5pm

InsightLA

1430 Olympic Blvd., Santa Monica 90404

Taking Refuge is one of the most beautiful aspects of the Buddhist meditation practice. We take Refuge in the potential for each of us to awaken and be free, in the wisdom of spiritual teachings, and in the community of spiritual friends. In an unconscious, often insensitive or even hostile external environment, it is difficult to access this sense of safety and deepen into the spiritual journey of seeing our true nature clearly. We offer this daylong for all People of Color who feel that they might benefit from such a Refuge. This day of spiritual practice will offer sitting, walking and eating meditations in the Vipassana Buddhist tradition. There will be a dharma talk and opportunities for group sharing. Open to all levels of meditation experience with a special invitation to beginners. Come, get into a seat, settle your mind, keep your heart open, and see what you discover!

Please bring your lunch, your journal, and your Heart.
