The San Francisco Foundation has awarded the East Bay Meditation Center a $2,500 grant in support of our programs that provide meditation training for people of color.

The grant is part of the San Francisco Foundation's "FAITHS Community Partners Mini-Grant program,"  which supports Bay Area organizations that increase the civic participation of traditionally underrepresented communities.  As an organization on the forefront of efforts to broaden the diversity of the communities to whom meditation training is available, the EBMC is particularly pleased with this grant that recognizes the importance of our efforts in this area.

This is the first grant for which the EBMC has applied, which also increases its significance.  Furthermore, receipt of this grant gives EBMC access to other significant resources from the San Francisco Foundation, including networking, training in non-profit management skills, and referrals to other Bay Area foundations.
